摘　　要：下一代网络(NGN)能够在基于分组的网络上提供语音、数据、图像融合业务,满足多样化、个性化的业务需求,在继承的基础上实现与各种业务网络(PSTN/ISDN、PLMN、IN、Internet)之间的互通。目前,下一代网络(NGN)的各方面技术已经相对成熟。但是,针对下一代网络的特点,能够提供下一代服务的终端在市场上相对缺乏。根据下一代网络的特点,设计一款面向下一代业务的智能终端。描述了智能终端的硬件结构,并对美国德州仪器(TI)公司的新一代的数字媒体处理器(Digital Media Processor)—TMS320DM642做了详尽的介绍。Next Generation Networks （NGN） is based on the packet networks, NGN can integrate voice service, data service and video service , satisfy the demand of diversification and individuation, and realize the interwork of different networks （such as PSTN/ISDN, PLMN, IN, Internet）. Nowadays, nearly all the technology of the NGN is maturation. But, there are not many kinds of terminals to cater for the character of NGN in the market. Based on the character of next generation networks, an intelligent terminal for next generation service is designed. The hardware structure of intelligent terminal is describe d and new Digital Medial Processor-TMS320DM642 of TI Company is presented in detail.
