摘　　要：介绍美国一些大型调水工程建设的背景及其工程兴建中如何兼顾社会效益、经济效益、生态环境效益。笔者认为美国大型调水工程的建设给我们提供了设计、施工经验,可为我国南水北调工程提供借鉴。The background for water transfer projects in the USA is briefly introduced.The corresponding social and economic benefits and ecological problems are then put forward.The design and construction experiences will be helpful to China's South-to-North Water Transfer Project.
