摘  要:关于玻璃熔体自然对流三维数值方法的验证祁建伟,胡桅林,过增元(清华大学工程力学系,100084)ValidityofThree-DimensionalNumericalMethodofNaturalConvectioninGlassMelts¥QiJ...Three-dimensional mathematical model of natural convection in a 1:20 scale glycerine laboratory model of an industrial glass melting furnace has been established.The condition simulated is the case of side wall heat losses accounting for 15% of the total energy input to determine three dimensional motion.The validity of computational method is tested by comparison with measurements of the temperatures and velocities.Good agreement is obtained between measurements and computations.The computed results in this study conform the dominanat two-dimensional motion in longitudinal direction previously reported by two-dimensional numerical simulation[1]and show that the side wall heat losses will cause the transverse flow to affect the energy transfer from the convective motion in longitudinal plan.The main effects of the side-wall heat losses are to generate a boundary layer flow down the wall and reduce the temperature in the core.
