摘　　要：注重对当代中国现实问题研究,是美国中国学研究区别东西方汉学一个显著特征。研究美国中国学,应注重将中国学研究同中美关系、美国东亚政策乃至全球战略联系起来考察,使美国中国学研究为中国国家利益服务。研究中国、认识中国,让更多的美国人客观了解当代中国社会的政治、经济现实,有利于消除“中国威胁论”在美国乃至世界其他地方的消极影响,为中国的和平发展创造良好的国内国际环境。To American Chinese Studies, concentrating on Chinese realities is a remarkable nature to distinguish the Western and Eastern sinology. Studying China is beneficial to America to understand China and to provide evidences for American Chinese policies. When we research American Chinese studies, we should combine it to Sino - American relations as well as American global strategies, and to make Chinese studies benefit China＇ s national interests. Studying China, understanding China and making more American people to have experiences about contemporary Chinese politics and economy will be necessary to clean out the negative influences of ＂China threat＂ in the United States and other areas of the World. It will create the sound internal or external situations for Chinese peaceful development.
