纯科学的地位在中国何以确立——读“为纯科学呼吁”所思

摘　　要：100多年前,美国科学家亨利·奥古斯特·罗兰发表了“为纯科学呼吁”一文,成为“美国科学之独立宣言”。100多年过去了,《科技导报》重刊此文,意在引起我国科学界对目前存在的许多问题的重视。纯科学的发展为美国的发展奠定了坚实的基础,然而,纯科学的地位在中国何以确立?这个问题的解决,当务之急就是要消除对科学与技术的理解存在着的观念上的误区。观念上的误区导致落后的科技管理体制上的顺理成章,正是纯科学在中国发展的最大障碍。破除传统的技术发展观,警惕科学退化为技术的可能,用科学发展观指导我国的纯科学研究,是为纯科学谋求中国发展的要务。More than a century ago, American scientist Dr. Rowland published the article, A peal for pure science, which has been intituled as Scientific Declaration of Independence of U.S.A. More than 100 years have passed, Science ＆ Technology Review publishes this article again, amining at attracting the attention of our country＇s scientific community to a lot of problems that exist at present. The development of pure science has settled solid foundation for the development of America, but how is it possible in China for pure science？ The first priorities are to dispel the misconceptions about science and technology, abolish the traditional technical development view, watch out for the possibility of science degenerating into technology, and guide the pure scientific research of our country with the scientific development view.
