摘　　要：应用宽频带技术加强建筑业的通讯，是欧联盟研究基金的一项重要课题。早期的迹象，如电视会议、共屏计算机的应用以及建筑工程中远距离的多媒体通讯网络的应用等，都将对专业人员间的通讯和日常信息交流产生意义深远的影响，英国的一项最初研究成果，介绍了一项大型电站工程中，设计组和各建筑队之间通过综合数据网（ISDN）联络的情况。Using broadband technolgy to enhance constructioncommunications is the subject of a major EU-funded research programme. Earlyindications are that applications such as video conferencing, shared-screencomputing and remote multimedia links on construction projects could have asignificant impact on inter-professional communications and informal exchangesof information. The findings of an initial study in the UK, in which the designand constructin teams on a major power station project were linked via ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network) lines are presented.
