摘　　要：“文各有体,得体为佳”,明清章回小说在其发生、发展过程中形成了若干具有重要文学史意义的特征。本文从辨体角度指出:章回小说的主要职能是为读者提供精神的愉悦;章回小说的不同类型,往往各有其约定俗成的价值取向或写作惯例;章回小说以叙事和塑造人物为其基本的存在方式,不同类型的作品在叙事技巧上各有侧重。Style is the soul of literature. The features of Ming-Qing novels formed in their genesis and development are significant in the history of literature. This paper argues that the main function of Ming-Qing novels is to delight; that different types of novels have their own conventional laws; and that the basic way for such novels to exist are their narrative and characterization.
