摘　　要：南通“三.一八”惨案烈士钱素凡先生从一位爱国学生成长为民主大众文化运动的青年领袖。他爱国爱人民争民主反专制的战斗生涯,具有鲜明的中华民族新文化的特征。他的爱憎分明的自由思想、科学批判的精神、善于战斗的策略、慷慨献身的勇气,以及他在南通乃至整个民主大众文化建设中的历史功绩,理应成为宝贵的精神财富,值得我们总结和发扬。Mr, Qian Sufan, a martyr of Nantong March 18th Massacre, had grown from a patriotic student into a youth leader in the democratic mass cultural movement. His experience of growing up reveals a typical life course of a Chinese intellectual who, because of his love for the country and the people, participated in the struggle for democracy. He was clear about what to love and what to hate; he had scientific critical spirit, strategy of being good at fighting, and bravery to devote his life; and he had achieved great historical merits in democratic mass cultural construction, All these are surely valuable spiritual wealth that is worth our summary and development,
