摘　　要：在光传输网络向超高速、超大容量、超长距离和智能化方向演进的过程中, 40 Gbit／s(STM-256)SDH设备与系统是非常有吸引力和关键的一步。介绍了在国家“十五”科技攻关计划项目中所研发的SDH 40 Gbit／s设备和系统,在非归零码(NRZ)无前向纠错(FEC)的条件下,无再生,在标准的G．652和G．655上分别进行560 km传输试验的情况。When the optical transport network is evolving to the direction of super-high speed. super-large capacity, super -long distance and intelligence, 40 Gbit/s （STM-256 ）SDH equipment and system are very attractive and critical . This article introduces the SDH 40 Gbit/s equipment and system in the Key Technologies R ＆ D Programme in the 10th Five-Year Plan, which has no regeneration under NRZ without FEC, and then it introduces the situaiton to carry out 560 km transmission test based on the standards of G.652 and G.655.
