摘　　要：随着数据库技术的不断发展和数据库系统的广泛应用,数据库中存储的数据量急剧增大,迫切需要新的计算理论和工具帮助人们从大量信息中抽取有用信息,即知识,数据挖掘学科的诞生正是适应这一需要.传统数据分析工具数理统计无疑在这一学科中扮演着重要角色,阐述数据挖掘的主要任务及统计理论在各任务中的应用,旨在更好结合统计理论探讨数据挖掘,更好发挥数理统计理论在数据挖掘中的作用.with the increasing development of database technology, the number of data becomes larger and larger. So the technology of data mining produced. Ii is no doubt that statistical theory plays an important role in the data mining. The task of data mining and the role of statistical theory are introduced in order to efficiently combine statistical theory with data mining method. By doing so, statistical theory will do better in data mining.
