摘  要:Mechanical ventilation could cause pulmonary complications and systematic complications due to the reduced efficiency of microbial filtration and the ability of heating and moisturizing upper respiratory trace.This review summarized the structure of breathing filter, the mechanism of microbial filtration, heating and moisturizing and its capacity of reducing complications of mechanical ventilation and breathing system pollution. Lacking of enough clinical evidence, the justification of breathing filter is still in controversy.Mechanical ventilation eouhl cause pulmonary complications and systematic complications due to the reduced efficiency of microbial filtration and the ability of heating arid moisturizing upper respiratory trace. This review summarized the strueture of breathing filter, the mechanism of microbial filtration, heating and moistufizing and its capacity of reducing complications of mechanical ventilation and breathing system pollution. Lacking of enough clinical evidence, the justification of breathing filter is still in controversy.
