摘 要:群体感应(quorum sensing)是细菌用于调控基因表达从而改变细胞功能的普遍机制,不同的细菌种群具有不同的群体感应机制。对几种典型病原细菌群体感应机制的研究表明,病原细菌的群体感应与其侵染过程,毒素的产生以及最终的致病过程都有着密切的关系。因此,对细菌群体感应的深入研究有助于真正的了解病原细菌的致病机理,从而为新的治疗方法提供思路和策略。Quorum sensing is used by a wide variety of bacteria including large kinds of human pathogens to detect the density of their own species and/or the number of other species present in a community, and thereby, alter their gene expression to response to the environmental changes. Although the mechanisms of quorum sensing might be different among different species of bacteria, studies of several typical species of pathogens show that they take good advantage of quorum sensing to manage their infection and gene expression, and this regulation system is of great importance for the potential pathogenicity to animals or plants. Thus, a further study of quorum sensing must give a new insight into pathogenicity of human pathogens and make good sense of new therapeutic strategies.
