摘　　要：从机顶盒发展历程可以看出不同时期机顶盒有着不同的功能与作用。在IPTV业务兴起和成熟的过程中,对机顶盒也有新的需求。本文首先介绍了目前IPTV机顶盒技术解决方案并同时进行了分析和比较,然后介绍了IPTV机顶盒标准的进展情况和对未来IPTV机顶盒发展前景的看法。本文对IPTV机顶盒设备的研发有一定的参考作用。STB performed different functions and played different roles in different stages of the history of STB development. With emergence and development of IPTV service, new demands for STB are being made. Technical solutions of IPTV STB are introduced and thorough analyses and comparisons made in the paper. Furthermore, progress in formulation of IPTV STB standard is introduced and perspective of development of IPTV STB predicted. The paper has reference value for research and development of IPTV STB equipment.
