摘 要:Video transmission over lossy networks is a challenging problem. Thus, appropriate error resilience of the coded video bit-stream is necessary. The Flexible macroblock ordering (FMO) feature specified in H.264 provides an open, flexible framework for arbitrary slices coding, which is intended to intensify error resilient for robust video transmission. In this paper, a new FMO implementation scheme is proposed in which the Slice group pattern (SGP) for current picture is built on adaptive motion analysis of previous coded picture. Both 'foreground and background' and explicit macroblock to slice group map type are jointly adopted. Since the foreground slice group is of potential interest, it is further divided into two dispersed slices for the sake of high error resilience while the background slice group is made of a whole slice to ensure specially coding efficiency. Both theoretical analysis and simulations show that our approach performs superiorly to the pattern-fixed slice allocation types in tradeoff between error resilience and coding efficiency.
