Objective: To probe into the influence of early rehabilitative nursing care and treatment on the recovery of both motor function and activities of dai- ly living (ADL) of senile cerebral apoplexy patients. Method: A total of 70 cerebral apoplexy patients were divided into test and control group randomly and equally (35 cases each). Patients of both groups were accepted the same drug therapy. While patients of the test group were offered rehabilitative nursing therapy after 3 to 7 days of vital signs stable, as well as Bobath and Rood skill training. Rehabilitations of all cases were evaluated by adopting Brunnstrom grading scale, simplified Fugl- Meyer motion scoring and modified Barthel index (MBI). Result: In terms of the Brunnstrom grading scale, FMA and MBI of patients, there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment (P 〉0.05). The Brunnstrom grading scale, FMA and MBI of both groups patients had been improved obviously after the therapy compared with that of before treatment (P 〈 0.01 ). Brunnstrom grading scale, FMA and MBI in test group cases were better than that of control patients (P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion: Rehabilitative nursing therapy could promote both the motor function and the recovery of ADL for senile cerebral apoplexy patients.
