四字节汉字处理技术在古籍数字化中的应用——以龙语翰堂典籍数据库为例

摘　　要：我国的古籍数字化建设取得了很大的成就，但是存在的问题也很多，尤其是在一些古代文献中生僻字、古字的保存、编辑和全文检索方面。而基于四字节汉字处理的一系列技术的出现使这些问题迎刃而解，本文介绍了四字节汉字处理技术的特点及其在古籍数据库建设中的应用。Great success has been achieved in the digitalizing for ancient archives in China, However, problems still exist, particular in handling the less frequent used Chinese characters, preserving and editing the ancient archives and full text searches, The latest developed technology based on the four--byte character solution has solved all these problems. This article dweils upon the features of the technology in handling four--byte Chinese characters and its application to building ancient archive databases. Longyu Hantang, www,dragoninfo.cn ,is the database showing the new technology and works on the web.
