摘　　要：随着GIS技术的迅速发展,其处理的数据量也在以指数级增加,GIS系统对数据传输和处理提出了更高的要求,原有GIS技术已经远远满足不了这种要求。另一方面随着因特网技术的快速发展,在Internet基础上发展起来的基于Web Service的网格平台有着资源一体化和服务一体化的特征,其提供了强大的计算能力,更为开发GIS应用提供了平台。对此现状,提出了一种将两者加以结合的一个模型,并初步实现了在GLOBUS平台上的一个GIS应用。With the rapid development of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Internet technology, the data amount GIS deals with is increasing with the index grade. The old data transmission cannot satisfy the need of current GIS System. On the other hand, the Grid platform based on Web Service includes the following merits: to integrate all the resources and to serve all clients as a whole. The grid technology offers strong computing capability to construct a platform for the GIS application. In the end, the paper realizes a GIS application based on the GIS and GRID technology on GLOBUS platform tentatively.
