摘　　要：叙述了地图数据库设计的基本思想,通过示例介绍了数据字典在地理信息数据库中的运用。在地理信息数据库设计中,可以将数据字典分为三种类型,它们的应用增强了软件实现的灵活性和高效性,对于地理信息及数字地图制图软件的开发具有重要意义。It provides the elementary ideas of map database design firstly, and then introduces the implementation of data dictionary in Geo-database by examples. In Geo-database design, data dictionary falls into three types. They develop the efficiency and flexibility by using the three types of data dictionary that will be significant for the development of GIS and Digital mapping software system.
