从《汉英词典》谈产出型双语词典中例证的翻译应具有的特色

摘　　要：双语词典中例证翻译的根本原则是保持原语例证的功能,如释义、辨义、提示句法搭配、传递文化信息等．作为产出型双语词典,由于本身固有的示范作用,其服务目的是帮助用户进行一些积极性的表达活动,如写作、翻译等,其中的例证翻译便具有一些独特之处,主要表现在:词目词在释义中给出的对应词与其在例证中的翻译要保持一定一致性;例证的译文需区别带标记意义的词目词,使这些词的标记色彩得以传达;对例证中涉及的反映一种语言文化体系特点的谚语、成语或俗语,尽可能提供在另一种语言中同时存在的具有等效价值的对应项;例证的翻译的范例角色,要求其具有相当精确性,以便用户进行参照、启发用户的创作灵感,进行更自如的表达,提高产出活动的有效性。以《汉英词典》为例,对其中几处例证进行讨论,以分析产出型双语词典中例证翻译应具有的特色。The essential principles in translating examples in bilingual dictionary is to retain the original functions of the examples in source language, such as providing definition, discriminating senses, giving cluc on syntactical collocation and conveying culture features. As productive bilingual dictionary plays a demonstrating role in guiding users in their active productions, it should pay special attention to the translation of those examples provided within it. Specifically, they have following features： the words adopted in the dcfinitinn of entry should bc in accordanc~ with those adopted in the translation of its examples; the markcdncss of the entry should bc embodied in the translation of examples; proverbs, idioms and phrases of distinguishing features in source language should bc provided with corresponding ones with equivalent effects in target language; the translation should bc good enough in specific context to serve as an example for the users to follow.
