摘　　要：《红楼梦》中的宝玉是一个充满矛盾的悲剧角色。他的悲剧是一种由外部环境所造成的、命定的窒息。他本身处处充满矛盾,似乎很难让人释怀。但联系作者生平的遭遇,却又不难解释。作者将宝玉作为自身的影子,赋予他极高的天分,寄予他极大的希望;同时又清醒地知道:环境所限,他不可能有何作为,必将走向幻灭。作者生平亦是注定满腹才华,却终生不得施展。二者合二为一,成就不朽的悲剧。Jia Baoyu in A Dream of Red Mansions is a tragic role full of contradiction. His tragedy resulted from outside environment and his tragic lot. He was full of contradiction and is hard to be understood. But if his life frustration is connected, it is easily understood. The author used Jia Baoyu as his figure and gave him extreme talent and great hope and clearly understood that he could not succeed because of environment limitation and that he doomed to die. The author was full of gifts and did not have the opportunity to use his gifts. The two factors combined and become an immortal tragedy.
