摘 要:基于多个非线性功率放大器的M A-SOQPSK(m u lti-am p litude-shaped offset quadrature phase-sh iftkey ing)调制具有很高的功率效率和频谱效率,但是其最大似然接收机非常复杂。该文利用两路SOQPSK波形的时域相关性,提出了一种简单的最大似然接收机,在不降低接收性能的前提下,将相关器从128个减少到8个。仿真结果表明该最大似然接收机的误比特率性能仅比16 QAM(quadrature am p litude m odu lation)的恶化0.6 dB。进一步简化的接收机用平均波形代替相似的SOQPSK波形,将相关器进一步减少到4个,并用2个简单的4状态维特比译码器代替一个复杂的16状态维特比译码器,仿真表明该简化接收机的误比特率性能比最大似然接收机的恶化1.2 dB。仿真和分析表明,M A-SOQPSK的功率效率要高于QAM。MA-SOQPSK (multi amplitude-shaped offset quadrature phase-shift keying) modulation using two nonlinear power amplifiers is an ideal candidate for systems with both power and bandwith constraints; however, the detection method is quite complicated which limits its applications. A practical Viterbi detector was developed based on the correlation between two SOQPSK signals in the time domain, with the number of correlators reduced from 128 to 8 without any performance degradation which makes the hardware implementation extremely simple and cost effective. A further simplified Viterbi receiver was then developed based on the averaged waves to reduce the number of correlators to only 4 at the expense of a 1.2 dB penalty.
