摘　　要：詹姆斯·乔伊斯和弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫都是现代主义的实验大师,他们在小说创作伊始,都把短篇小说作为自己的创作对象。本文从主题思想、人物刻画和叙述范式三方面入手,系统比较《阿拉比》和《墙上的斑点》。James Joyce and Virginia Woolf are the great masters in the literary trend of modernism. At the beginning of their writing, both of them pay their attention to short stories. This article will compare their short stories Araby and The Mark on the Wall in three aspects of the theme, the portrayal of individuals and the narrative paradigm.
