浅谈英汉动物意象之异同

摘　　要：英汉民族都有着悠久的历史和丰富的文化遗产,英汉语中都有着大量的以动物为喻体的丰富词汇,它们是语言发达的标志和文明进步的象征。试图从相同动物名称的同义现象与异义现象以及不同动物名称的同义现象三个方面对英汉动物的意象加以比较,这种比较研究可以使语言学习者从中了解中西文化的差异和许多有趣的语言现象,从而对今后的学习和研究起到帮助和促进作用。Both English nationality and Chinese nationality have a long history and rich cultural heritage. In both languages, there are abundant vocabularies which have figurative meaning of animals,which is the mark of language development and the symbol of civilization advancement. In this thesis, the author will analyse the images of animal names in both English language and Chinese language from three aspects-synonymous phenomenon of the same animals, different phenomenon of the same animals and synonymous phenomenon of the different animals, which will benefit to the language learners. They can understand the difference between Chinese culture and English culture and also some interesting language phenomenon.
