摘 要:线偏振多纵模(MLM)激光可用适当厚度的晶体波片消偏,波片的光轴和入射光偏振方向呈45°夹角。对2种实际的MLM光源仿真分析了消偏光的偏振度(DOP)与波片厚度的关系,提出了一种可连续、大范围调节光程差(OPD)的实验装置。理论分析和实验结果表明:最佳波片厚度主要由光源的中心波长和纵模间隔决定;DOP决定于光源的谱特征,光谱越对称,强度相对大的纵模数越多,DOP越小。The multiple longitudinal mode (MLM) laser sources can be depolarized by a crystal waveplate with moderate thickness. For two available MLM LDs, the relationship between DOP of depolarized light and optical path difference (OPD), which is produced by the waveplate between two orthogonal oplarized components of incident light, is numerically calculated. An experimental depolarizer installation is proposed in which OPD can be adjusted continuously in a large range. The theoretical analyses and experimental results show that there is the most appropriate thickness of waveplate for a specific MLM laser source, and this thickness is decided by center wavelength and the space between two longitudinal modes. Moreover, DOP becomes lower if the symmetry of spectrum is well and the number of relative large longitudinal mode increases.
