摘　　要：1875年底,清政府任命陈兰彬为中国第一任驻美公使。1878年,中国驻美使馆在美国首都华盛顿正式设立,这是中美外交史上新的一页。晚清中国驻美公使是一支具有特色且具国际眼光的重要群体,他们致力于维护国家主权和海外侨胞利益,是近代中国外交中一支不可忽视的力量。In late 1875, the Qing Dynasty appointed Mr. Chen Lanbin to be the first China's minister at USA. In 1875, China's legation was established in American capital, Washington, which meants a new page in Sino-US diplomatic relationship. The China's ministers assigned to USA in the late Qing Dynasty were an important and featured group with international insight. They dedicated themselves to maintain national sovereignty and overseas Chinese interests, and should not be overlooked in modern China's diplomacy.
