摘　　要：我国具有极为丰富的苜蓿属植物资源,苜蓿在农牧业生产及生态保护中发挥重要作用,同时也是我国传统的民间草药,现代药理学研究表明苜蓿中的黄酮、皂苷和多糖类成分具有多种活性,我国应加强苜蓿药用价值的开发。China has abundant Medicago Linn. resources especially in northwest. Alfalfa （Medicago sativa L. ） is a major legume forage crop among them, and has been playing an important role on the livestock faming and agricultural ecosystem. In China the plant, including leaves, stems and roots of Medicago Linn. has also been served as folk medicine used on treatment of respiratory and digestive diseases. The secondary metabolites in Alfalfa such as flavonoids and saponins have various bioactivities. Developing the pharmaceutical function is a new way to make full use of Alfalfa.
