摘　　要：本文论述了天祝白牦牛产地中国甘肃省天祝藏族自治区自然概况,白牦牛资源,开展天祝白牦牛保种选育研究,取得的显著成果,推广应用白牦牛本品种选育的生产实践,提出了建立天祝白牦牛自然保护区的建议和白牦牛的发展战略目标。The paper illustrates the features of the natural environment,the genetic resources and the possibilities for improvement and conservation of the Tianzhu White Yak in Tianzhu county,the original location of the Tianzhu White Yak.Significant achievements have been obtained from the researches in the past several years on improvement and conservation.And it has been successfully extended to the practice of the Tianzhu White Yak's conservation and improvement in farming.The plans in further developing Tianzhu White Yak and a proposal of setting up a nature conservation center for Tianzhu White Yak has been suggested in the paper.
