摘　　要：辽宁省将其境内出产的化石分为重点保护化石与非重点保护化石,重点保护化石又分为一级化石、二级化石、三级化石,在全国率先制定了化石分类定级标准,出台了《辽宁省古生物化石分类定级参考目录》,作为鉴定化石科学价值的标准,为打击走私、盗窃、损毁、倒卖或非法转让、盗掘化石的违法行为提供科学法律依据;作为界定重点保护化石与非重点保护化石的标准,为化石分类管理服务;同时,也为制定全国性化石分级分类名录奠定了基础。Liaoning Province has classified the fossils found in the region as major protected fossils and non-major protected fossils, the former subdivided into three grades.This province has published ＂The Reference Catalog of Grading for Paleontologic Fossils in Liaoning Province＂, which is the first grading standard for fossils in China.As a standard for the assessment of fossils on their scientific values, the catalog provides a scientific and legal basis for crackdown on the illegal activities of smuggling, stealing, damaging, reselling, transferring and digging fossils. The standard,in defining major protected fossils and non-major fossils,may serve the administration of fossil classification and also establish a foundation for a nationwide grading catalog of fossils.
