摘　　要：下一代网络NGN是当今的研究热点,而作为与NGN发展密切相关的IPv6,将来必将取代IPv4。从NGN的概念出发,着重介绍了下一代网络(NGN)的网络结构、特点以及现阶段发展状况和今后发展趋势,并对NGN与IPv6的关系以及IPv6在NGN中应用的场景进行了详细的探讨。NGN is the focus in present research, and IPv6, which＇s clcoely related to NGN, would surely take the place of IPv4. This paper is going to illustrate the definition of NGN by focusing on the network structure, characteristics, present research state and the future development of NGN. The relations between NGN and IPv6, and the IPv6 application upon NGN will also be discussed in details.
