Distribution of Active Iron and its Environmental Implications in the Geomorphic Development Tidal Flat of Chongming Island

摘  要:利用2002—2003年在崇明东滩采得的CDS、CDM和CDN三个典型沉积物剖面样品,测定了其中的Fe3+、Fe2+、Fe3+/Fe2+以及有机碳、粒度等特征参数,分析了活性铁分布变化特征并对其沉积物氧化还原环境的变化进行了探讨。结果表明Fe3+含量在整个研究区域均是从表层向下逐渐递减的,Fe2+含量逐渐增加。从实验结果判断,所研究区域沉积环境上层以氧化环境为主,呈弱氧化型,中下层以还原环境为主。分析发现其分布变化受粒度、有机碳的影响,氧化还原界面与中、高潮滩划分界大致相当。In this paper, the active iron of sediments obtained in three typical regions in the east tidal flat, Chongming Island was studied. The distribution characteristics of Fe^3+, Fe^2+, Fe^3+/Fe^2+rati o,OC, grain size, redox environment and the relationship among them were discussed. The result showed that the vertical distribution of Fe^3+, Fe^3+/Fe^2+ tends to decrease from surface to bottom, and that Fe^2+ increased from surface to bottom in these zones. Based on these results of active iron and Fe^3+ /Fe^2+, the main redox environment is characterized by the relatively weak oxidation in upper layers, reducing from 40 cm to bottom ( CDS:20 - 75cm ). The difference between them was controlled by the complicated hydrodynamic environment. There is relation between the concentrations of active iron and sediment grain size, OC. The redox interface roughly is corresponds with the borderline of the high and middle tidal flats.
