摘　　要：对《李尔王》这部数百年来经久不衰的悲剧作品,文章从《李尔王》中所表达的普遍人性这一主题入手,通过对主人公李尔王人物性格和剧情的分析,着重阐释李尔由于自身存在的“人性”弱点,诸如:刚愎自用、昏庸愚蠢,导致悲剧发生,经过人生痛苦不幸甚至灾难的历练达到人性的升华与完美这一过程。In King Lear, one of the greatest tragedies, spiritual salvation through suffering is an outstanding topic. This thesis intends to illustrate the process of Lear＇ s suffering by analyzing the characters and the plots. Lear＇ s perversity and credulity make Lear suffer from pain and misfortune. By suffering, Lear learn the lessons slowly and the suffering seems to humanized him showing a new human nature, more beautiful than before.
