摘  要:基于1998—2004年的TRMM/TMI卫星遥感海面温度(SST)数据,在初步分析东、黄海SST的季节分布特征的基础上,采用EOF方法分析了SST的季节内变化特征,进而对SST季节内变化的可能机制进行了探讨。EOF分析获得的前4个模态的累积方差贡献率为57.07%,其结果基本反映了东、黄海SST变化的主要物理过程。其中,EOF的第一模态的方差贡献率占30.17%,其空间模态揭示了以东海北部为中心的、整个海域SST变化趋于一致的特征,这一模态的显著变化周期为6.3周;第二模态的方差贡献率占14.36%,其空间模态呈现东南海域与西北海域SST的反相变化趋势,显著变化周期为8.7周和10.6周;第三模态的方差贡献率占7.02%,其空间SST变率最大的区域位于黄海海域,显著变化周期为6.8,8.7,10.2周等;第四模态的方差贡献率占5.52%,其空间SST变率最大的区域位于东、黄海近海,显著变化周期为6.8周。东、黄海SST季节内变化与此海区大气中的季节内振荡是紧密相关的。Based on the TRMM/TMI satellite remote sensing data during 1998 to 2004, the intra-seasonal variabilities of sea surface temperature (SST) in the East China Sea(ECS) and Yellow Sea (YS) are analyzed by using empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method, and the possible mechanism for generating the intra-seasonal SST variabilities is also discussed. The cumulative contributions of the first 4 modes obtained by EOF analysis account for 57.07% of total variance of SST, and the 4 modes basically reflect the main physical processes of SST variations in the ECS and YS. Among them, the first EOF mode makes a contribution accounting for 30.17% of the total variance, its spatial mode indicates the characteristics of SST variation trending to uniformity with a variation center being located in the northern ECS, and its significant variation period is 6.3 weeks; the second EOF mode makes a contribution accounting for 14.36% of total variance, its spatial mode shows a variation trend with the SST in the southeastern sea area out of phase with that in the northwestern sea area, and its significant variation periods are 8.7 weeks and 10.6 weeks; the third EOF mode makes a contribution accounting for 7.02 % of total variance, its maximum spatial SST variation area is located in the YS, and its significant variation periods are 6.8 weeks, 8.7 weeks and 10.2 weeks; the fourth EOF mode makes a contribution accounting for 5.52 % of total variance, its maxium spatial SST variation area is located in the offshore ESC and YS, and its significant variation period is 6.8 weeks. The intra-seasonal variabilities of SST in the ECS and YS are closely related to the intra-seasonal oscillations in the atmosphere over the sea area.
