摘　　要：中国古代的和谐社会属于“传统的和谐社会”,是以小农经济为基础、缺乏公平正义、依靠伦理规则和行政强制的和谐的农业社会。社会主义和谐社会是以市场经济为基础,以社会公平为基石,以民主法治为保障的可持续发展的开放的现代社会。The thoughts of harmonious society in the history and traditional culture of China are all called traditional harmonious society. It is an agricultural society based on small - scale peasant economy. It also lacks equality and justice and realizes social harmony by ethics. Socialist harmonious society is a sustainable modem society based on market economy. It is on the basis of social equity and it is ensured by socialist democracy and rule - of- law.
