摘　　要：关于“中国古代散文”的界定历来是学界争论的焦点,将“散文”这一术语置于古代、现代、西方三维视角来加以观照,散文范畴的界定只能是一种现代意义上的界定,而这种界定是基于对散文文体作历史流变考察的基础之上的。中国古代散文无论是骈散之争还是韵散之争,都属于“文”内部的矛盾。无论用什么术语来指称它,它就是这样一种存在。The definition of Chinese prose in ancient times has always been the point at issue in the academic world. It is nothing but the definition in modern sense to put it into the three dimensions of the ancient, modern and Western so as to make a comparison between them, which bases the analysis of the historical change of the prose style. For the arguments on definition of Chinese prose in ancient times, whether parallel prose or rhyming prose or anything else, are all within the category of ＂literary writing＂. This is the basic fact no matter what definition we will give it.
