摘　　要：研究稀磁液磁致双折射效应与磁液各参量及磁场的关系，并基于其磁光弛豫特性与载液粘度的关系（爱因斯坦方程）。The relationship of magneto birefringence with ferrofluid parameters and external magnetic field is studied. On the basis that the magnetically induced birefringence relaxes to zero with a characteristic time constant propotional to the carrier viscosity, a fiber optic viscometer is established. And the initial experiments show its potential applications for nondestructive viscosity measurements.
