摘　　要：与时俱进的核心是运用马克思主义的立场、观点、方法去探索事物的发展规律,研究时代发展的特征,解决现实的问题,创造性地开展工作。将与时俱进的精神贯穿到图书馆的具体工作中就是要求新时期的图书馆在职能、管理、服务等各个方面也应根据时代和读者需求的变化进行改革和创新。The core of ＂advancing with the time＂ is to explore the developing regularity of the objects, to research on the features of the development of the age, solve the actual problems, and carry out the work creatively by using the standpoints, viewpoints and methods of Marxism. Putting the spirit of ＂advancing with the time＂ into the concrete work of the library requires to reform and innovate the function, management, and service, etc of the library according to the needs of the time and the readers.
