摘　　要：农业文化遗产从概念上等同于文化遗产,是联合国粮农组织推动的一项旨在保护农业文化遗产系统的项目。本文分析了世界遗产中对农业文化的关注,介绍了全球重要农业文化遗产的概念和项目的目的,最后阐述了我国农业文化遗产保护的意义和紧迫性。According to FAO, Globally Important Ingenious Agricultural Heritage Systems （GIAHS）, equaling to world cultural heritage in concept, is defined as ＂Remarkable land use systems and landscapes which are rich in biological diversity evolving from the ingenious and dynamic adaptation of a community/ population to its environment and the needs and aspirations for sustainable development.＂ As a new project promoted by FAO and other international organizations like UNESCO, IUCN, UNU and so on, GIAHS aims to establish the basis for the global recognition, dynamic conservation and sustainable management of these systems in the face of economic and cultural globalization, environmental variability and inappropriate,policy, incentive and regulatory environments. In this paper, the author analyzed the attention from world heritage assessment to agricultural cultural heritage, introduced the concept of GIAHS and background of the project, and illustrated the significances and urgency to conserve China＇ s traditional agricultural heritages.
