摘　　要：本文从为什么VHS制式盒式录像机占领了市场这一问题引出报酬递增条件下的技术竞争问题,论述了报酬递增现象在现代经济中的日益普遍性和重要性,着重分析了报酬递增条件下技术竞争的一个简单的数学模型,并据此得出报酬递增条件下技术竞争的一些特点及其政策意义.Beginning with the argument that technological competitionunder increasing returns is the key the question why VHS format cor -ners the VCR market, this psper attempts at first to explore the in-creasing prevalence and importance of increasing returns in modern economy, secondly to provide a dynamic model of the process of tech-nological competition under increasing returns, and finally to derivesome properties of the process and their policy implications from themodel.
