摘　　要：文章通过对中、西摩天楼象征性和都市功能方面的比较研究,力图揭示其在中国现代性中的表征和转译——“现代”的幻像。通过分析中国摩天楼所反映和承载的中国都市文化与功能,一方面阐述其在中国当代城市生成的合理性,另一方面也提出了如何理解“本土化“和建筑创作如何回应当前中国都市环境的问题。Through a comparative study of skyscrapers in the West and China from the perspectives of symbolism and urban functions, this paper tdes to expose itstransformation and translation in terms of Chinese fantasy of ＇modern＇. By examining how skyscrapers in China reflect and canwy Chinese urban culture and function, this paper addresses the legitimacy of its production in China. and poses questions architectural creation responses urban conditions of China.
