摘　　要：提出了一种基于O SDC的改进型数字视频混合器(VDM)的设计原理,实现了任意字符和图形在视频上的叠加显示,解决了字符大小和屏幕显示容量的矛盾,提高了汉字数字混合显示的美观性,增加了字符勾边显示功能,在不影响原视频图像显示信息量的前提下,增强了在强光下显示字符的可读性。A new method of design based on OSDC（on screen display control）chip for VDM （video digital mixer） is presented in this article, which has realized the superimposing of characters and graphics on input video signal. The contradiction between the size of character and the amount of character number displayed is also resolved, which makes the mixed display of Chinese characters and numbers more compact. A new pattern background display function is added in this new design. This function will make the superimposed character look clear in the condition of intense backlighting, without the compromise of the quality of video display.
