摘　　要：根据目前“军卫一号”医院信息系统数据库备份方案的多种选择需要,重点介绍了O racle8i的DataGuard。不但详细介绍了DataGuard的概念及原理,简要阐述了实施步骤和需要注意的问题,还将DataGuard与传统的数据库物理备份进行了比较,特别是其在Oracle7的Standby基础上所做的重要改进,为“军卫一号”医院信息系统的数据库备份提供了可选的新方案。There are many options on the No.1 Military Medical Project database backup in the Hospital Information System. The DataGuard of Oracle8i is one of them. This article introduces the concepts and principles of DataGuard, and briefly describes the implementation procedure and some attention-deserved problems. DataGuard is compared with traditional method for data back-up, especially the important improvement based on Oracle7 and Standby.
