摘　　要：科学是人类对宇宙的研究思考而形成的理性态度和经由实验分析而提炼出来的知识体系。中国传统文化的价值体系和思维方式,以及中国古代社会所处的相对封闭的国际环境造成的文化中心主义思想,构成了中国科技落后于西方以及中国现代科学发展受阻的主要原因。Science is a kind of rational attitude originating from the study and thinking of human beings of the universe, and also a knowledge system extracted from experimental analysis. The value system and thinking mode of traditional Chinese culture, as well as the ideology of culture centricity aroused from the relatively closed international environment of ancient Chinese society, are chief reasons of the lagging of science and technology in China.
