摘　　要：通过对全国科技期刊的统计分析,明确地方性科技期刊的定位、特点和作用。认为:地方性科技期刊具有浓郁的区域特色,将本学科的基础理论运用于实践,能够为基层科技人员搭建学术和技术交流的平台;要发展地方性科技期刊,必须重视作者群体和读者群体的培育,所刊载的内容应符合行业性和区域性特点,并注意不断拓宽思路,扩大学术影响力,创造发展空间,使其成为促进科技进步和国民经济发展的重要载体。This paper, through broad statistics and study, gave a clear idea on the orientation, character, function of region magazine and relation between region magazine and country magazine. With characteristics of general science and technology magazine, it has its own characteristics in content, authors,readers and ways of issue. So this paper hold that it＇s necessary to respect and develop region magazine＇s readers and to emphasize on local characteristics and special scientific fields. In conclusion, we do the best to make region science and technology magazine a carrier that promotes science and scholarly communications.
