论粤北的“帽子峰页岩”

摘　　要：“帽子峰页岩”(即帽子峰组)是徐瑞麟(1937)根据朱庭祜(1928)提供的曲江城至黄岗岭剖面中出露于帽子峰的岩层而建立的岩石地层单位。由于命名剖面中“帽子峰页岩”的上部出露不全。The “Maozifeng shale” is a suite of clastic rocks consisting of interbeds of greenish,reddish and yellowish grey mudstones and sandstones intercalated occasionally with thin-bedded limestones.Stratigraphically, this suite of clastic rocks lies between the Tianziling Formation and the 'Menggong'ao Formation' both of which are composed of carbonate-rocks.It is inferred to have been deposited in an environment transitional between deltaic and shallow marine owing to its ubiquitous content of marine animal and terrestrial plant fossils.Geologic age of this rock unit ranges from Mid-Famennian stage of Late Devonian to Tournaisian stage of Early Carboniferous, during which marine regression and transgression were prevailing, forming two distinct stages.With the passage o?time, the advance and retreat of sea water has brought about regular spatial change in depositional environment, and the age of this rock unit differs from place to place, displaying an obvious, diachronous nature.The lectostratotype area is located near Shijiaozui on the east side of Maozifeng in Shaoguan City.
