摘　　要：本文通过对2004年西北太平洋热带气旋发生源地、月频数、移动路径、强度等方面的分析,找出2004年西北太平洋热带气旋的特征,并对其大气环流场进行了分析,结果表明:2004年西北太平洋热带气旋偏多、偏强,路径以近、远海转向为多,前期赤道东太平洋海温偏低、西太平洋副高位置偏北、偏东,是2004年西北太平洋热带气旋偏多的主要原因。By analyzing the origin, monthly frequency, path and strength of the tropical cyclones in 2004 on the western Pacific Ocean, we revealed the characteristics of the tropical cyclones and analyzed the general circulation. The result shows that the number of the tropical cyclones on the western Pacific Ocean was more than normal years, and the strength of the cyclones was relatively stronger. The paths of the tropical cyclones, generally, had a recurving over the sea tendency. The lower SST in the early season in the tropical eastern Pacific Ocean and the more east or north location of the subtropical high contributed to more tropical cyclones in the northwest Pacific Ocean.
