摘　　要：Comparing painting to meditation, Dong Qichang founded the theory of "Painting and Meditation". The theory features: 1. absorbing the perceptive experience of meditation, inner conscious way of thinking, stressing sudden inspiration; 2. borrowing the meditation method of immediate attainment to enlightenment; 3. applying the sudden enlightenment method; 4. borrowing the methods of different schools of meditation.
