摘　　要：构建和谐社会是当前我国经济社会各领域的统领目标和总要求。紧紧围绕着和谐社会的内涵和特征,对体育在和谐社会构建中的价值目标取向、功能进行了探讨。正确认识这些理论问题,既是实现体育与社会和谐发展的需要,也是体育促进和谐社会构建,完成社会赋予其时代责任的现实需要。It is the overriding objective and requirement of constructing a hannonions society in the current economic and social field. Centering on this connotation and characteristic of the hamonious society, the thesis makes the attempted analysis on the value orientation and function of sports in the harmonious society construction. To have the correct understanding of these theoretical questions constitutes the prerequisite for both the harmonious development of sports and society, and the promotion of the harmonious society construction and fulfillment of its historic duty endowed by the society.
