摘　　要：此文赞成推行现有的《中国地层指南》,文中讨论了4个问题:(1)认为习惯用的群名应当保留,不可以建组名废群名,群组可以并存;(2)要严格区分岩石地层和年代地层两类不同地层单位;(3)地层的横向稳定性是划分组的一种不可忽视的原则;(4)建议开展地层典的编制工作。This paper aims at pursuing the existing 'Guide to the Stratigraphy of China' and upholding the stability of the lithostratigraphic units. It discusses four problems. (1) Convensional group names should be reserved and it is not advisable to establish formation names and reject group names; the group and formation may coexist. (2) It is necessary to distinguish strictly between the lithostratigraphic units and the chronostratigraphic units. (3) The lateral stability of the strata is an unnegligible principle for formation division. (4) It is advisable to compile a canon of. stratigraphy.
