摘  要:为增强交流等离子体显示器(AC PDP)中经过反Gamma校正后的低灰度级图像,在图像进行反Gamma校正后,根据图像原始灰度与二进制编码灰度之差建立浮动灰度编码。然后利用误差扩散方法将浮动灰度编码所包含的低灰度级图像信息融合到用于显示的子场编码中。同时提出了采用并行流水线结构进行该方法的在系统芯片(SoC)实现。仿真及实验结果表明,本文提出的新方法补偿了反Gamma校正后损失的低灰度图像信息,有效地改善了AC PDP低灰度级图像质量,并且该方法的SoC实现具有良好的实时处理性及较高计算精度,且占用系统资源较少。A novel method is proposed to improve the quality of low gray image in alternating current plasma display panel (AC PDP). In this method, after inverse Gamma correction, float gray level codes are created from gray errors between actual gray levels and binary coded gray levels. For low gray image, the float gray level codes are combined to the binary coded gray levels by the error diffusion method. A parallel pipeline architecture is proposed to implement the proposed method in System on Chip (SoC). Simulation results show that, the lost details of low gray image after inverse gamma correction are compensated by the proposed method so that the quality of low gray image in AC PDP can be improved effectively. Experiment results show that, the SoC of the proposed method not only has fine capability of real time processing and upper calculation accuracy but also takes low cost.
