摘　　要：杜鹃花(Rhododendronspp)于1985年确定为长沙市市花。2005年全市地栽杜鹃花生产面积达1600hm2,年产苗木2.4亿株,年销售额7200万元,成为长沙市花木产业品牌产品,带动了全省地栽杜鹃花苗木产业的发展。湖南省林科院和长沙市林业局合作,历时8年,经外业考察收集和品种的遗传稳定性试验,基本查清楚了全市地栽杜鹃花的品种资源和发展历史。本文旨在为长沙市地栽杜鹃花品种资源的科学保护及利用提供基础资料。Rhododendron spp is the city flower of Changsha City with more than 70 years of history. The field grown Rhododendron spp plants have become a well-known brand in flower and ornament plant industry in Changsha City. Because of the lack of research and protection, the variety resources of Rhododendron spp have been severely eroded. Currently, there are three groups of Rhododendron, including spring Rhododendron spp, summer Rhododendron spp and western Rhododendron spp. Consisting of 38 varieties in Changsha City. 11 varieties of them were obtained from bud mutation. And the other 27 varieties were imported from abroad, accounting for only 11.7% of the total number of 227 imported varieties. In order to promote sustainable development of the industry of field grown Rhododendron spp, the government and flower plant enterprises should investment more into science and technology, and local standards for production of field grown Rhododendron should be developed soon in order to promote sustainable development of the industry.
